The Cobb County Public Library proctors exams at no charge.

The Central Library

• Maintains a log to record receipt and administration of exams

•  Administers exams in glassed-in study rooms behind the reference desk.  The librarians can see the student but may not watch throughout the exam.

All Library Locations

• Any librarian may administer the exam.
• Exams not taken by the expiration date will be returned, if postage is provided, or shredded.

Exams may also be administered at any branch.   The student should have a branch librarian fill out the proctor form.

We do ask that  participating institutions and students provide the following:

 Institution

1. Name of the educational institution

2. Name of the student

3. Instructions for proctor on administering the exam

4. Expiration date (default is 3 months from receipt)

5. Return envelope with postage.

Student

1. Materials necessary for completing the exam

2. Picture ID

3. Return envelope and postage if this is not provided by the institution.

The student is expected to call the Library to find out if the exam has arrived and to schedule a time to take it.  An advance reservation is not required but will assure that the exam can be administered at the student’s convenience.
