Electronic Books from the library

The Library has over 32,000 electronic books (including 4,000+ new titles) on a variety of subjects.  These can be “checked out” for up to four hours at a time for you to read on your personal computer. 

To check out an ebook from netLibrary, you first set up an account, separate from your library card  This can be done and accessed from any Internet computer.  Come in to any Cobb County Library location and the staff will be glad to show you how to do it.  If you are unable to come in, call 770/528-2346 and have your library card handy.

To set up a netLibrary Account:

• Log into GALILEO (Link)  from the library home page.
  (To see the current database/Galileo password, log on to CobbCat using your library card number and PIN.  Then select MY PROFILE.  The password is at the top.) 
   

• Select netLibrary from the list of Galileo databases.
   

• Create your Free Account.

You can identify the ebooks in CobbCat  by the term “electronic resource” following the title.  If you click on the link icon   "  A Look Inside:   "  in the title record, you will be taken to that book on the netLibrary website. 

You can also go directly to the ebook / eaudiobook webpage, www.netlibrary.com/recordedbooks, log in and search for a title or subject.

You can also access audiobooks with your netLibrary account.
