Local Author Expo
Are you a local author? Are you interested in writing, but not sure how to get started? Have you already written a book and would like to showcase your work? Would you like to talk to local authors about their works?
Then visit our Local Author Expo! It will be held Saturday, March 3 at the Central Library from 11 am - 3 pm.

Book Sales
The Friends of the Library hold semi-annual book sales. All proceeds are used to purchase new books and other library materials.
Regular Book Sale
Our next regular Book Sale will be held March 23-25, 2012 at the Jim R. Miller Park, Exhibit Halls A & B.
Hours:
- Friday, March 23: 9 am - 5 pm
- Saturday, March 24: 9 am - 5 pm
- Sunday, March 25: 1 - 5 pm
Please note: Only cash and check will be accepted at the book sale.
Sale items include books both hardbound and paperback for children, young adults and adults; audio-visuals including books on tape and compact disc, videocassettes, compact discs, and records; magazines and some comic books.
Silent Auction of Collectibles (When Available)
Friday and Saturday - Bids close at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Ongoing Book Sale
We have also started an ongoing book sale at each of the library branches (with the exception of the Hattie Wilson Library). Stop by and see us! This is a great opportunity to purchase a paperback to bring with you on vacation. Prices of the items start at $2 for mass market paperbacks; trade paperbacks cost $3. Hardbacks cost $5. All proceeds are used by the Cobb County Public Library System to purchase new books.

Join the Friends
Please join the Friends of the Library and enrich the growth and development of the Cobb County Public Library System through fund raising, library promotion, programs, and volunteering. Memberships are valid for one calendar year. Board meetings are held monthly September through May and membership/program meetings are held twice a year.
